Campfire (private collection)

Campfire began simply as a cylindrical form with a red rope light.  That sparked a memory:  a group of boys sitting in a circle in a church basement with a beefy old man we called Akela. Our meetings began and ended with a ritual around a fake cheesy campfire, some sticks arranged in the familiar log house pattern with a red light bulb in the centre.  That was our Cub Scout campfire.

Campfire was part of Lumencrafter’s debut at Arcadia Art Gallery in 2014 and was one of the first pieces to sell. Click here if you wish to commission something like it.
